Last March 10-11, our village of Godall held the 15th edition of its “Oil and Asparagus Fair”. As it happened in 2017, Ralda&Friends invited all its Friends and Adopters to our annual Encounteer in order to enjoy on the culture, the folklore and the gastronomy of our village. In our last post we reported our Summer visit to the Farga del Arión, where some of the oldest olive trees in the world are living and producing oil.  Related to this, today we want to introduce a very interesting initiative that Ralda & Friends is publicly supporting. Summer holidays are here and Ralda&Friends want to suggest original activities in our region that may nourish both your health and mind. Our suggestion of today is about oleo-tourism and, particularly, about a very interesting asset located in the village of Ulldecona, in Tarragona province, very close to our home in Godall. There, in Ulldecona, you will find a unique natural patrimony: around 40 millenary olive-tree (not to confound with the “millennial” people), some of them aged more than 1.700 years, that are still in production of olive-oil. Some 20 people, coming from Spain, Switzerland and France came to discover the origins of our project and enjoyed a wonderful Mediterranean day with temperatures close to 30ºC in some moments of the day. Last Saturday on second January, twenty enthusiastic friends of us decided to start the new 2016 in a healthy way by joining us on an original activity: the first International Meeting of R+F Adopters. The event took place in Godall, and it was an opportunity for our friends to discover our village, our people, our Mediterranean Sun and our property of “La Serra”, where every day since centuries we have been producing our exquisite olive oils.
